At QAAPT, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy notice outlines how and why we collect, store, use, and share ("process") your information when you use this platform. By accessing or using the platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
In this document, "we" or "QAAPT" or "Superadmin" refers to the QAAPT platform development and support team at International Vaccine Institute (IVI) based in Seoul, South Korea responsible for the administration, development, and maintenance of the system infrastructure. It does not imply ownership or authority over user data.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following personal information when you register on the platform or interact with its features:
Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Name, Designation, Email, Office Address, Country, and Organization.
Microbiological/AST Data: Data you upload or store related to antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST), microbiological profiles, and other relevant datasets.
2. How We Use Your Information
Provide Platform Services: Facilitate registration, maintain your account, and enable data upload and storage.
Data Integrity and Reporting: Analyze, process, and present microbiological/AST data for clinical, research, or regulatory purposes.
3. Data Sharing
QAAPT is designed to maintain strict data confidentiality. Neither the platform administrators nor QAAPT staff can view or access your uploaded data by default.
Superadmin Access: The platform's Superadmin holds system-level privileges for maintenance and monitoring. However, the Superadmin is restricted from viewing individual datasets unless explicit consent is granted by the respective dataset owner. This structure ensures users retain full ownership and control over their data.
Regulatory Bodies and Institutions: Data sharing with regulatory authorities is solely at the discretion of the data owner. QAAPT will never disclose data to any external entity without the owner’s explicit permission.
Third-Party Service Providers: For technical operations and platform management, QAAPT may collaborate with trusted third-party service providers under binding confidentiality agreements. These partners are prohibited from accessing or using data without prior written consent from the data owner.
4. Data Security
We employ industry-standard security protocols to safeguard your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. While no system can guarantee complete security, QAAPT continuously updates its safeguards.
The platform incorporates strong authentication measures, user role-based access control, and rigorous security protocols at both application and server levels to ensure the safety and integrity of user data.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this notice or to comply with applicable legal obligations.
QAAPT provides tools to delete your datasets or account at any time. Once deleted, data is permanently removed from all storage systems and cannot be recovered.
6. Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access and review your personal data.
- Request corrections or deletions of your data.
- Withdraw your consent for data processing, subject to legal or regulatory requirements.
- Permanently remove any dataset you have uploaded.
- Close your account permanently.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this privacy notice periodically. Updates will be posted on this page along with an updated "Effective Date."
